Using willow branches, bark and other natural materials McQueen weaves basket-like structures, objects and creatures in an art form that bridges the gap between craft and sculpture. Creating both familiar objects and whimsical imaginary creatures, McQueen’s work contains a lighthearted humor, as well as thoughtful questions about interior meaning. Also showing, Michael Janis’ glass panels infused with intricate drawings made of powered glass. Through June 13. 4729 McPherson, 314-361-4100.Duane Reed Gallery, (video 1:14) (watch: iPhone)

Through June 21. William Shearburn Gallery, 4735 McPherson, 314-367-8020 Shearburn Gallery (video 1:03)
